Hello and welcome to the new Mooshi Couture web site!
I’m excited to be finally launching my new e-commerce web site for Mooshi Couture! It’s taken me a few weeks to learn how to customise the site to make it more user friendly and e-commerce savvy but the wait and time invested has been well worth it! I hope you find it more enjoyable to visit and purchase online.
You’ll find the content more responsive and full of large image galleries, as well as a more ‘shopper friendly’ online store with a wishlist. To save your favourite items just click on the love heart in the shop gallery on the home page or ‘Add to Wishlist’ in the product’s shop listing.
I’ve also included a page called ‘Atelier’ where you will find snippets of my latest couture project. You can link to it from the ‘Behind the Seams’ section on the home page or by clicking on ‘Atelier’ in the footer menu. Once the project is complete, the content will form part of the editorial in my Portfolio and in the product listing. I think it’s a nice way to journal a project along its journey from the atelier to the online store. Behind the Seams also has a countdown timer letting you know when the new piece will be released in the Mooshi Couture shop!

Another exciting feature I’ve added is a countdown timer for On Sale items. You’ll find this set up on the home page as well. Stay tuned for the first sale countdown!
For those of you who are keen to learn tambour embroidery, replenish your supplies or refresh your skills, you’ll find my classes and supplies by clicking on ‘Learn‘ in the footer menu. I’ve created a one-stop-shop where you will find tabulated pages listing all the supplies and classes currently available. Look out for new classes, kits and supplies I’ll be adding over the coming months. Upcoming classes will be announced in my Newsletter, a News post and on the home page.
If you’re asking ‘What happened to your vintage pattern and inventory galleries?’, well, I’ve decided not to re-list these. In moving to a new theme I had to basically start from scratch again and in doing that I felt it was time to clear out content that wasn’t really serving its purpose. I’ve decided to move away from bespoke commission work and make ready-to-wear pieces using the materials and patterns I have collected over the years. This gives me a chance to really focus on producing my own designs and authentic vintage couture. I may still offer some customisation options for my ready-to-wear pieces but this will depend on the materials I have in stock at any given time. So from now on, look out for another seaside inspired cotton babydoll or an authentic vintage pattern reproduction embellished with beautiful hand embroidery.
I hope you love my new web site. Take a moment to look around and let me know what you think? I’d love to hear from you.
