♥ ~ 1930s Patterns – A Decade of Transition ~ ♥
The 1930’s was a decade flanked by two major world events, the Great Depression with the crash of Wall Street in 1929 to the outbreak of World War II.
Despite this, the 1930’s was a time of glamour and modernity and an age of streamline designs. A more mature, elegant, feminine woman emerged on the fashion scene following a progression of modesty changes that emerged in the late 1920’s and the frivolous Jazz Age. The conservative mood of this era called for lower hemlines, leaner dresses, skirts with godet silhouettes and polished tailored suit looks.
Mooshi has one Vogue couture pattern from this fashion period. The design features a bias construction which became popular at the time. A beautiful elegant style for day or evening wear.
