Introducing Mooshi’s first couture dress from the Mooshi® collection of original vintage inspired designs. This dress won 3rd place in the 2013 Tessuti Awards in Sydney, Australia. Mooshi is very proud of this achievement!
Known as the Mooshi® Tessuti Dress, the design is inspired by vintage couture designer fashions of the 1940’s and 1960’s that were elegantly captured by renown fashion photographer Richard Avedon.
The images are of Margot McCarthy wearing a Lanvin-Castillo gown standing in a crowd of members of the French Press in 1960, and Dorien Leigh wearing a Piguet gown in Helen Rubinstein’s apartment in 1949.
Made in a beautiful crisp French polyester taffeta, this dress is a standout and features:
♥ a fitted bodice and pencil skirt with flared full circle peplum;
♥ side pockets;
♥ low cut bodice neckline with German made steel boning;
♥ a double inverted pleat at back seam;
♥ hand stitched zipper;
♥ a matching custom made 2″ wide slip-through belt;
♥ fully lined.
This dress is made to a couture standard to deliver a beautiful result and an object to be envied by many admirers. It makes a stunning elegant outfit for any formal occasion.
