What to Bring
Bring your own small embroidery frame suited for tambour embroidery such as a stretcher frame or deep hoop that can be easily clamped to the edge of a table. Please bring a pair of quick grip clamps for this. We recommend Irwin Quick Grip Clamps available from Bunnings. No floor standing frames please as floor space and lighting may be limited. Please also ensure your frame is fitted with a piece of silk organza in a transparent colour such as white or cream.
Please also bring your own tambour embroidery tool. We have some in stock we import from France. Please contact us to inquire.
To attend the full day class, students will need to purchase our Beginner’s Tambour Beading Kit that includes some supplies (no tambour hook) and the class notebook for your attendance. Students can bring their own thread, beads and sequins to test and explore the challenges and design opportunities with tambour embroidery. Please also bring other items you would normally use for hand embroidery such as small scissors, a tape measure, hand sewing needles, general purpose sewing threads, marking pencils, tracing paper, pens, pencils, eraser, a small table lamp and desktop magnifier or glasses, embroidery tweezers, a notebook.
Once a booking is confirmed invoices will be emailed for the deposit and the balance payable in full before the class.
